Folding Platform Truck: Actually Fits in the Trunk of a Car
I have found one of those items that I have just fallen in love with. Not because of it's beauty but because of it's usefulness. I love things that work. Things that perform in the manner they have been described to me and this little folding platform truck, grey as it is, is a lovely work horse. It will carry up to 300 pounds on its 5-inch wheels, but the most amazing thing is that the handle and the wheels just fold up flat to give it a slim profile and it only weighs 29 pounds so you can slip it into your car and take it anywhere you want to. Really.
I know a musician who tells me that when he goes on a gig he transports his instruments, amplifiers, speakers and miscellaneous boxes of wires and gear from his house to his truck. Then from the truck to the performance venue. Then he plays for a few hours and ends the night by packing all that bulky stuff back into his truck. Of course there is then the drive home, after which, he unloads it back into the house. That is four times that he must lift, lug and load all of his big bulky equipment in one single night. Sounds like a backache waiting to happen to me.
I am going to share with him about the difference it might make in his "behind the scenes" musical life if he purchased one of these unique patented all-steel platform trucks. My friend would probably have to make fewer trips in and out because he could pull the folding platform truck out of his vehicle by it's built-in handle, pop up the 9.5-inch padded aluminum handle and 5-inch precision ball bearing rubber wheels, and load up the 5.25 square feet of load space with a lot of stuff. That little folding platform truck will carry a lot more than he could possibly balance on his back all at one time. That saves time and energy - not to mention saving the muscle strain on his back -- and the total convenience of being able to take the folding platform truck with you wherever you go! You can load and unload anywhere, anytime.
The front wheels swivel so the patented folding platform truck is easily maneuvered around obstacles and it can be either pushed or pulled as needed. The handle locks in either the open or closed position - and so do the wheels. It even has corner protectors and a carry handle to make it easy to load into a vehicle or shed. The whole thing only weighs twenty-nine pounds! That is amazing patented engineering.
One of these inexpensive (less than $200) folding platform trucks could also be used as a garden wagon which will carry up to six fifty-pound sacks of grass seed. Or it will move heavy potted plants from one area to another of your patio. I see it as a very useful new invention with many possible uses around the home, garden, or even the office.
