What does a mate tea cup look like and where can I get one?
My bf's a huge mate tea drinker and he finally found some where we live, but insists on drinking it in a mate cup..?
So, I'd like to get him one but I have NO idea where to get it, what it would look like, or what to look for in a mate cup..
Also, if you like the tea, does it taste better whether you make it in a reg. coffee machine or a french press? How about a coffee press?

Mate cups look like gourds and are called cuias. A convenient place to buy them is online at teavana.com or at a teavana retail store. You should also buy a bombilla (mate straw) to go along with it.
Using a coffee press or machine is not the traditional way of preparing it. You can read about the traditional way of preparing it here:
